Ethics for Counselors and Social Workers
Steve Mason, LPC-S, ADC will present current issues in ethics for counselors and social workers. Real scenarios will be used to provide examples of applying ethics, viewing ethical challenges, and staying accountable.
Participants can register for 3 or 6 hours. The first 3 hours will be 9a-12p and the second 3 hours will be 1p-4p.
Learning Objectives:

Identify core ethical principles and professional values guiding counseling and social work practice.

Apply ethical decision-making models to complex and high-risk clinical situations.

Distinguish between ethical, legal, and clinical obligations in professional practice.

Recognize and appropriately respond to ethical dilemmas involving boundaries, confidentiality, and dual relationships.

Demonstrate ethical competence when working with diverse, vulnerable, and high-risk populations.

Implement risk management strategies to reduce ethical complaints and liability
Requirements for the workshop for CE requirements–Cameras must remain on the entire time during the presentations and an evaluation must be completed at the end.
